When it comes to being a grown up I am a complete failure. It is totally overrated and has very few redeeming qualities other than being able to eat as much junk food as you want, keeping a full crisper of Corona and maybe the the freedom of being able to make your own decisions. This however comes with a price since choosing to work your ass off to afford the other choices you have made creates a vicious cycle of consumption that is hard to jump off if your in as deep as I am. I harken back to the good old days where freewill coincided with no financial responsibility - we called it COLLEGE.
The act of continually thinking about the old glory days is experienced by most people by varying degrees, for me, I think about all the fun we had more than most. I miss everything about the ridiculousness of what we shared as a we mutually marched toward responsibility with me dragging my heels the entire way.
With Life of the Party we hope to celebrate what made all that pent up creativity, spirit, and freedom great. Call your old friends, remind yourselves to pull together that bender that well, sure it takes longer to recover from but in the end, all you really have is the memories.
From beer to maternity and beyond lets go big or stay home.
